Interpretations Exhibit at The Jung Center Gallery

The Jung Center Gallery is presenting my exhibit,
Interpretations
, in the main gallery May 2-26, 2007. This exhibit features photographic transfers and lifts that are a fusion between photography and paintings. The use of glasses, goggles and lenses represent the filters each of us looks through as we interpret the surrounding world stimulate our imagination.

The side gallery will feature Beryl Striewski’s exhibit, Pop Archetypes. Beryl Striewski’s quirky portrayals bring to life various archetypes made popular by Carl Jung. Using friends as subjects, Beryl closely matches her friend’s personalities to typical archetypes for a more interesting and compelling interpretation of “the Portrait.”

The Artist Reception is Saturday, May 12, 2007, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Both Beryl and I will attend. I am looking forward to catching up with my Houston friends. If you are in Houston be sure to stop by for art and conversation.

The Jung Center is located in the museum district, next to the The Contemporary Arts Museum and across the street from The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
